Region-wise distribution of total registered investors
Total registered investors stood at 9.2 crore in Mar'24: The total number of registered investors stood at 9.2 crore at the end of March, up from around 7.3 crore at the same time last year. Region-wise, North India remained on top with a registered investor base of 3.2 crore, followed by West India at 2.9 crore, South India at 1.9 crore, and East India at 1.1 crore. Notably, it took about nine months to reach from 6 to 7 crore unique investors, it took eight months to reach from 7 to 8 crore and the rise to 9 crore took only five months.

NSE Academy’s Certification in Financial Markets (NCFM) continuously upgrades its facility for testing and ensures that the tests are conducted in a secure and unbiased manner. Since inception, it has introduced new modules, increased its reach across the country.
In order to maintain the high standards of testing and offer many more value-added services to the candidates, the fee structure for the NCFM modules as per Table 1 stands revised with effect from January 10, 2024.
The following NCFM modules are being discontinued with effect from July 15, 2018:-
1.Corporate Governance Module
2.Compliance Officers (Brokers) Module
3.Compliance Officers (Corporates) Module
4.Information Security Auditors Module (Part -1)
5.Information Security Auditors Module (Part -2)
6.NSE's Capital Market Aptitude Test
1.The validity of the NCFM test fees is revised from 180 days to 90 days from the date of receipt of payment with effect from July 1, 2018 i.e. payment received on or after 01-Jul-2018 shall be valid for a period of 90 days. Candidates need to enroll for the NCFM test within 90 days from the date of receipt of payment failing which he/she is required to enroll himself/herself again by paying the fees afresh at the prevailing fee structure.
2.This revision is not applicable to the candidates who have made payment for NCFM Test on or before June 30, 2018. Candidates who have made payment on or before June 30, 2018 shall be eligible to enroll for the respective NCFM test(s) within a period of 180 days from the date of receipt of payment.
